Getting the right covering for your kitchen window is difficult. This is because, more times than not, the kitchen sink is directly above the kitchen window and this poses a slight problem. You may argue that you can easily fold a curtain to get out of the way, but folding fabric curtains creates lines of weakness which may eventually lead to tearing. Compared to fabric curtains, venetian blinds do not easily stain. If a coloured liquid was to spill on them, you will only have to wipe it off. However for fabric curtains, you may need to bleach them or use special chemicals before the stain is finally out.

Simplicity

Fabric curtains raise the need for colour, patterns and change. You can easily get bored having the same curtain hanging all through the month or year. You will therefore need a variety of curtains which you can interchange in order to kill the monotony. With venetian blinds, they become part of the window. You do not have to worry about diversifying because in essence all blinds are the same. This does not mean you cannot get colourful and radiant blinds, however.
